Tips For New Authors

As a new author, I find myself entering the world of social media and marketing.  Below are some of the websites I have visited and some of the tips I have learned along the way.

1) Register your work on the Good Reads Website.  

This is where readers can track which books they have read and leave reviews.  The website also has an author's page which will allow you to answer questions about yourself and your latest work. For an example click here

2) Go To Review For Me and request reviews for your work.
Review For Me will pick a time slot and suggest your book to potential readers asking specifically for reviews.  For an example click here
3)Set up an Author Page on Face Book.
It is an invaluable tool that you will use constantly to update your readers with upcoming works or events you are planning on participating in.  For an example click here

4)Create a business account on Pinterest.
Use pinterest as a hub for your potential readers to find you.  You are looking to build your platform of followers not looking to build your pinterest solely for you.  For an example click here
